24 – 36 hours (by agreement)
Do you speak Arabic and want to support others on their way to independence?
هل تتحدث العربية وترغب في دعم الآخرين نحو الاستقلال؟
At Darna Care, you don’t work from rules, but from people. From genuine attention. From trust. From being close.
For our clients who receive outreach support in Arnhem and Nijmegen, we are looking for an outreach support worker who speaks Arabic. That way we can connect even better with the daily lives, culture and support needs of the people we work with. Do you have a vocational (mbo 4) diploma or a bachelor’s (hbo) degree? Both are welcome: we are happy with any candidate who speaks Arabic and fits our way of working.
Working as an outreach support worker at Darna Care
As an outreach support worker in Arnhem and Nijmegen, you literally step into your client’s life. Not to take over, but to build together.
You support clients in their own environment in strengthening their self-reliance and regaining control. Through our outreach support, you help people move forward step by step, in a way that suits them.
You:
- support clients with housing, finances, work, health and relationships
- translate support needs into concrete goals and a future plan
- work in a recovery-oriented and systemic way
- liaise with municipalities, neighbourhood teams and treatment providers
- identify risks and act in time
- report carefully and methodically
- contribute to peer supervision and development
- as a bachelor’s-level professional, take the lead on support plans and monitor progress
You are close by where needed and clear where it matters.
About Darna Care and our outreach support
Darna Care offers outreach support in Arnhem and Nijmegen, among other places, to young people and adults with mental, social or intellectual challenges.
We are a small-scale, intercultural care organisation where people feel seen. Many clients describe it as a place where they can feel at home.
Our support covers all areas of life, such as housing, finances, work and social relationships, with the aim of greater independence and a stable future.
Our strength lies in a culturally sensitive and personal approach. We act quickly, think in possibilities and connect with what someone really needs.
Who are you?
You are someone who looks beyond behaviour and sees what is going on, even when it isn’t said out loud.
In addition:
- you speak Arabic and have a good command of Dutch
- you have a relevant vocational (mbo 4) diploma (care or social support) or a bachelor’s (hbo) degree (Social Work, SPH or similar)
- you have experience with, or a strong affinity for, outreach support
- as a bachelor’s-level professional, you are SKJ-registered or willing to become so
- you work methodically and independently
- you are a strong communicator and reflective
Above all, we are curious about your vision: how do you help someone regain control of their life?
