Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2025
Privacy is of great importance. Darna Care complies with privacy law. This means that:
- Purposes are clearly defined before personal data is processed, through this privacy policy.
- As little personal data as possible is stored, and only data that is needed for the stated purposes.
- Where consent is required, it is explicitly requested for the processing of personal data.
- The necessary security measures are taken to protect personal data.
- The rights of data subjects are respected, such as the right to access, correct or delete processed personal data.
Personal data is safe with Darna Care and is used with care. This privacy policy explains which information may be collected and how this information can be used. For questions or access to stored data, please get in touch.
Forms
When forms on the website are used, messages can be sent, for example to ask questions, submit requests, file complaints or make appointments. For this purpose, name, email address, telephone number and possibly additional details may be processed, if included in the form. This data is necessary in order to contact you. Information is kept for an indefinite period, but can be deleted on request.
Sharing with other parties
Personal data is not shared with other companies or organisations, except where this is required by law (for example, at the request of the police in the case of a suspected offence). If social media buttons are present on the website, the operators of these services collect personal data. Please consult their privacy policy for more information.
Cookies
When cookies are used, these are small files in which information can be stored, so that data does not have to be entered again every time. Cookies can also show when the website is visited again.
On the first visit to the website, a notice may be shown explaining cookies, and consent may be requested for their use. Cookies can be disabled via the browser, although some features of the website may then work less well. If other companies place cookies, agreements have been made about this, but full control over their use by third parties is not possible. Therefore, please also consult their privacy policy.
Google Analytics
When Google Analytics is used, this serves to analyse the use of the website. A data processing agreement has then been concluded with Google, with strict arrangements about which data may be recorded. The information obtained is not shared with other Google services, and IP addresses are anonymised.
Security
The security of personal data is of great importance. Where applicable, access to personal data is protected with a username and password. In addition, secure connections (SSL) are used, so that all information is sent in encrypted form.
Rights of data subjects
Every data subject has the following rights:
- An explanation of which personal data may be processed and how it is used.
- Access to the personal data held.
- Correction of errors.
- Deletion of outdated data.
- Withdrawal of consent.
- Objection to a particular use.
In order to exercise these rights, it is necessary to clearly state who the data subject is, so that no data belonging to third parties is changed or deleted.
Processing orders
When orders are placed via the website, personal data may be used to process the order correctly. Data may be passed on to a delivery service to make delivery possible. In addition, payment details may be received from the bank or credit card company. For this purpose, payment details, name and address details, email address, telephone number and billing address may be used. The processing and storage of this data may be required by law in connection with the tax retention obligation.
Personal account
When certain parts of the website require registration, information is provided and security details are set. This allows an account to be created, which can be logged into with a chosen username and password. For this purpose, the username and email address are used. This information may be stored so that data does not have to be entered again each time and so that contact can be made more easily if needed. Information can be changed via the account as long as the account is active. Data is kept until the account is closed.
Complaints
If a data subject believes that Darna Care is not acting correctly, a complaint can be filed with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Within the organisation, a data protection officer may have been appointed, responsible for privacy matters. This person can be reached by email and telephone for questions and requests.
